Milcut Incorporated and Blachford Investments, Inc. are thrilled to announce that Blachford has purchased Milcut, effective March 7th, 2022. Blachford intends to retain all employees, and Milcut products will continue to be manufactured at the Menomonee Falls, WI location, and the company will still operate as Milcut.   

With this acquisition, Milcut will join the Blachford Acoustics Group, an industry leader in acoustic materials, molded headliners, and floor mats for heavy trucks, off-highway, and other industrial OEMs.  Milcut’s current President, Carl Strohmaier, will stay on board full-time through the end of April, 2022 and will then transition to a consultant role. There are no planned operational changes, contact information, or staffing changes at this time.  

With the addition of Milcut, Blachford Acoustics Group will now be able to offer the full suite of their current solutions and fabricated products made by Milcut. Additionally, Milcut’s team will now have access to Blachford Acoustics Group’s R&D laboratory and testing facilities. The Blachford Acoustics Laboratory and Research Center is a world-class facility featuring a sizeable Hemi-anechoic chamber equipped with a heavy-duty dynamometer, a reverberation room as well as a complete chemical/materials lab. 

Blachford Acoustics Group, led by President & COO Matthew Taub, has grown significantly in the past decade, increasing its Canadian presence with the purchase of Blachford AM Ltd 
(formerly Presglas) in 2013 and expanding into the United Kingdom with the acquisition of Blachford UK Ltd. (formerly TMAT) in 2014.
